Axus Decor Dec-x Painter’s Caulk

Axus Decor Dec-X Painter’s Caulk is an easy-to-use, water-based sealant for filling gaps and cracks, with strong adhesion to most surfaces. Easy to clean and mould-resistant, it’s ideal for use between skirting, coving, walls and ceilings and around frames and architraves.

Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, free of dust, oil and grease.

Cut the tip of the cartridge, screw on the nozzle and cut at a 45°C angle to create an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled. Apply into the gap with a caulk application gun.

Recoatable after 1 hour, but this may vary depending on the depth of application, ambient temperature, humidity and type of paint. For best results, paint after a minimum of 4 hours.

Shrinkage will be minimal with a bead up to 20 millimetres wide and 12 millimetres deep. To allow for joint movement, the bead size should be at least 6 millimetres by 6 millimetres. At this size, this cartridge will dispense a 10.5 millimetre bead.

Do not use on substrates that will be permanently submerged in water. Only use at temperatures above 5°C.
