How much paint do I need?
The volume of paint required for a job is a simple calculation. Just divide the square metre measurement (m2) of the area to be painted by the spread rate of the paint you’re applying (m2/l).
If you’re applying two coats, double the area. If you’re working out volumes for a primer, one coat is usually sufficient.

Kiva 30
Kiva 30 is a satin, water-based, tintable lacquer for indoor use.
It can be used on its own or as a protective top coat over existing paint. This lacquer can be used as a clear system or tinted to any Tikkurila stain.
- Tintable to colours from the Tikkurila Interior Wood Stains and Lacquers colour card(please see link above)
- Theoretical coverage rates: 8 – 14 m²/l per coat
- Brush, sponge or spray apply
- Available in 1L and 3L packs
